Why Rogue Running? Ruth and Steve are my favorite people in the world. Seriously, I like what Rogue does for the community, not just the running per-se.
Favorite running workout? Any XC on grass race pace workout.
Least favorite workout? Long runs over 80 mins.
Your go-to, pre-race meal? Depends on race…if it’s a short race I like to eat protein (hamburger is not unusual), if the race is longer than 1 hr. I will probably do pasta with tomato sauce, boring but tested.
Your favorite post-run recovery food? Ultra Fuel.
What athlete (past or present) most inspires your running? Why? Sebastian Coe and Steve Ovette, for their duel all through the late 70’s and early 80’s. to be that dedicated to running when running was not a professional activity. And form the new runners, Jennifer Raines, for her patience and longevity. I admire staying power and the ability to see beyond this year’s performances, so I admire anybody who can stick to something for a long time, and Jennifer has been to 4 Olympics on 4 different events.
Favorite Austin Restaurant? Fancy one would be Vespaio, not so fancy, Galaxie…all time favorite, East Side Café.
French toast, pancakes, or waffles? Pancakes
Favorite breakfast taco ingredient Salsa
Favorite movie? Dead Man (Jim Jarmush; Johnny Depp), close second The Fall
Favorite TV show? Right now The Good Wife. And The Big, Bang, Theory.
Favorite band? All times probably Genesis, Pink Floyd and Radiohead, still like Peter Gabriel. 90’s band Pearl Jam, Temple of Dog, now Muse…almost impossible to narrow it down.
